Walmart acknowledges racist incident at Bozeman store and apologizes to MSU professor

TODAY THAT RETAIL GIANT WALMART HAS APOLOGIZED FOR A RACIST INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED AT THE COMPANY'S BOZEMAN STORE. (TAKE VO) IN FEBRUARY 2016, M-S-U PROFESSOR DR GILBERT KALONDE RENEWED HIS FISHING LICENSE AT THE STORE. KALONDE FOUND AN EMPLOYEE OF THE STORE DELIBERATELY TYPED THE PROFESSOR'S OCCUPATION AS, QUOTE "CLEAN TOILETS." KALONDE IS A BLACK MONTANA RESIDENT. HE RETURNED TO THE STORE AND ASKED FOR AN APOLOGY AND FOR THE LICENSE TO BE CORRECTED. WALMART REFUSED… AND IN AUGUST OF 2016, THE MONTANA ACLU FILED A MONTANA HUMAN RIGHTS BUREAU COMPLAINT ALLEGING DISCRIMINATION ON THE BASIS OF RACE.
